Henry Horowitz

Henry Horowitz has over 49 years of extensive experience in management of start-ups and established firms in medical and retail real estate industry.

Currently, Mr. Horowitz is Principal and Managing Partner of Oxford Capital Partners, a firm he co-founded in 1998. Henry was a Co-Founder and Managing Principal of MedProperties Holdings, LLC, a private equity firm based in Dallas, TX, specializing in the ownership of healthcare facilities. He was predominantly involved in the asset management and financial administration of MedProperties’ corporate operations and underlying investments. Henry and his brother, Michael, were instrumental in helping raise nearly $200 million of equity commitments on behalf of various MedProperties platforms. 

Prior to MedProperties, Henry served in various executive management roles with Insignia Financial Group, Inc. Henry joined Insignia after it acquired his firm in 1993 which became the commercial real estate division of Insignia Financial Group. Henry led the division and grew its platform from 2 million square feet to over 225 million square feet prior to the division’s disposition to CB Richard Ellis for $415 million in 2003. The resulting company formed the modern day CBRE and became the world’s largest commercial real estate firm. During his tenure at Insignia, Henry served as President of Insignia Commercial Group, Inc, Chief Operating Officer of Insignia/ESG, Inc. and Executive Managing Director of Insignia Financial Group. In addition, he served on the company’s executive management, investment and compensation committees and reported directly to the firm’s CEO.

In addition to managing his family office, Henry is passionate about serving the community by volunteering on numerous state and local community boards. He served three years on the board of Bon Secours Hospital System in Greenville, South Carolina. He is an avid patron of the arts and served as the Chairman of the South Carolina State Arts Commission Board of Directors. In 2017, he received the Buck Mickel Leadership Award for his passionate leadership, vision and dedication to the arts in South Carolina. Most notably, for his contributions to the state of South Carolina through Artisphere and other statewide arts organizations, Henry was awarded the Order of the Palmetto by the Governor of South Carolina in 2019. This award is considered the highest civilian honor in the State of South Carolina and recognizes a person’s extraordinary lifetime service and achievements of national or statewide significance. 

 

Michael R. Horowitz

Michael Horowitz is a co-founder and Managing Principal of Oxford Capital Partners. Mr. Horowitz is responsible for directing overall acquisitions investment strategy. As a serial entrepreneur, he is highly adept at applying his experiences creating real estate platforms to innovate new opportunities and improve outcomes. His career largely has been focused on the sourcing, transacting and development of commercial real estate. Michael is best known for his strategic vision and endearing personality by the people that know him well.

In 2006, Michael originated the idea of creating a private equity firm solely dedicated to investing in healthcare real estate. Along with his brother Henry, he co-founded MedProperties Holdings, and launched as an early pioneer in the healthcare real estate industry. During his time with MedProperties, he helped it grow into one of the largest independent healthcare real estate investment firms in the United States. He served as Managing Principal and was an integral part of the acquisition and development of nearly $1.5 billion of a healthcare real estate.

Prior to MedProperties and after Insignia acquired his regional real estate firm, Mr. Horowitz founded Insignia Commercial Investments Group, Inc. ("ICIG"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Insignia Financial Group, Inc., organized to acquire, develop and redevelop commercial real estate funded by Insignia and its co-investment partners. During Mr. Horowitz's tenure, ICIG and its parent acquired and developed over $600 million of retail and office properties nationally. Mr. Horowitz was also a co-founder and served as an Executive Managing Director of Insignia Commercial Group, Inc., a large national multi-disciplined commercial real estate platform.

Michael is very passionate about the arts, and while living in Oklahoma, he served on the Boards of Ballet Oklahoma and OKC Theatre Company. Michael was a member of the American Society of Real Estate Counselors and holds a Counselor of Real Estate designation. Michael dedicates a large portion of his time to mentoring his son and other family members in business and life. Michael enjoys golfing, sailing and traveling with his wife.

 
 


Harrison Horowitz

Harrison is responsible for directing the asset management of the Oxford portfolio and works to identify new investment opportunities for the platform. Further, Harrison serves as a Senior Manager of Transactions at Big Sky Funds, an investment manager focused on commercial real estate across the United States with an overweight focus on the medical office sector. Harrison helps navigate all aspects of the due diligence and underwriting process for Big Sky’s acquisitions.

Previously, Harrison served as the Special Assistant to the Chief of Staff in the Office of George W. Bush, where he supported President Bush’s Chief of Staff on a daily basis with special projects, schedule management, task prioritization, correspondence, and travel.  

Harrison received his B.B.A. in Real Estate Finance from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas and holds a Master’s of Real Estate Development from Columbia University in New York, New York.

He sits on the Dallas-Fort Worth Columbia University Alumni Association Board of Directors and serves as the association’s Treasurer.

Rand Horowitz

Rand W. Horowitz serves in an advisory role to the Oxford Principals. Additionally,Rand is a Founding Partner of SHOP Companies located in Dallas, TX and formed in 2013.

SHOP Companies is a full-service retail real estate company specializing in brokerage, investment sales and development. 

SHOP is responsible for the expansion strategy of over 80 brands locally and nationally, exclusively leases over 20MM square feet of shopping centers, has closed north of $1B in investment sale transactions since formation and acquired nearly $300MM in retail real estate for ground up development or redevelopment.

Rand is a leader in day to day operations for SHOP Companies while providing overall vision for the company and leading a brokerage team focused on specialty leasing on a national basis.

Rand received his Bachelor Degree in Finance at Westminster College.
